Our courses cover the full spread of crane classes required across construction, resources and infrastructure sites, whether you’re operating a slewing mobile crane, vehicle loading crane or tower crane. Training U’s instructors have real-world crane operation experience, and prepare you to meet WorkSafe WA licensing requirements, allowing you to work confidently on any site.
No. Each crane licence, from C2 (up to 20 tonnes) through C6 (up to 60 tonnes), C1 (up to 100 tonnes) and C0 (over 100 tonnes), has its own entry requirements and none require you to already hold a lower tonnage licence first. All crane courses require you to be at least 18, have basic English and numeracy, and provide photo ID.
Mobile crane, non-slewing crane and vehicle loading crane courses run either at our Maddington facility, or in your workplace upon request.
Once you pass the assessment, we issue your Statement of Attainment and High Risk Work Licence in the relevant class: C2, C6, C1 or C0 for mobile cranes, CN for non-slewing, CV for vehicle loading, or CT for tower crane. High Risk Work Licences for crane operation are issued by WorkSafe WA. Training U delivers the nationally recognised units you need to apply, under RTO 52608.
