This will support skill development and ensure the concepts delivered are applied in their context. Refer to the FAQs on each course page for specific prerequisite details and course recommendations.

The Statutory Supervisor Course (Schedule 26) is for anyone moving into, or already holding, a legislated Statutory Supervisor position in WA mining. It’s a mandatory prerequisite before you can sit the DEMIRS examination, so if that’s your pathway, this is the course you need.
The Non-Statutory Supervisor Course is designed for those progressing into, or currently in, leadership or supervisory roles. It covers the key aspects of effective leadership including risk management, communication, overseeing on-site operations and how to demonstrate leadership in practice. This course doesn’t carry the legislated exam requirement.
