Purpose
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a tower crane.
Tower crane work involves a boom crane or a jib crane (with horizontal or luffing jib) mounted on a demountable or permanent tower structure.
Self-erecting tower cranes are not included in this unit of competency.

Course Delivery Mode
Training U conducts this course face to face at its clients workplace on request, client must be able to provide access to a tower crane.

Prerequisites and Course Requirements
- Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Students must have basic English language and literacy skills
- Students must have sound maths skills
- Must be able to provide photo ID
Certification
On successful completion of this course the student will receive a Statement of Attainment and be issued a High Risk Work Licence in the class of CT.
