Purpose
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and provide medication assistance, and complete medication documentation. It also involves supporting a client to self-administer medication.
Our course is specifically designed for community services and health workers with authority in their state or territory to assist with administration of medication.

- Prepare to assist with medication
- Prepare the client for assistance with administration of medication
- Support clients with administration of medication
- Handle medication contingencies
- Complete medication distribution and documentation
Course Delivery Mode
Training U conducts this course face to face at its Rockingham facility or clients workplace on request.
Course Duration
Face to face delivery only – 1.5 days
Prerequisites and Course Requirements
Participants must be able to read and understand organisation policies, medication requirements and individual care plans.
Certification
On successful completion of this course the student will receive a Statement of Attainment.
